The American Soccer News has received a much-needed style update. Nathaniel moved it over to Word Press and the results are quite stunning.
I wrote the first op-ed for the site and we are busier than ever uploading archives from the old site.
With all of the ASN excitement, how could I forget the huge announcement over in RapidsLand? They have signed another South American midfielder that no one knows anything about.
Meanwhile the rumor about signing A-League striker Reinaldo has died due to the notoriously cheapsake Rapids being outbid by a Korean team. Do they even have club fútbol in Korea?
The Rapids have about 500 midfielders, including their ‘big’ signing Christian Gomez. Yet, they have signed exactly zero strikers in the off-season. This from a team that scored less than one goal per game in 2007.
Here’s to decidedly unsexy defensive fútbol in 2008. Go Rapids…

Thanks for the link to ASN. First time I’ve seen it and it looks great. Will have to add the feed to my daily reader.
